Across the United States, in Canada and in Mexico, our network of Mazak Technology Centers puts our customers first so they can take fully productive, profitable advantage of their investments in Mazak manufacturing technology. Situated in key geographic locations to reach and benefit every customer, these eight wholly owned Mazak facilities offer primary resources for training, field service and application support, as well as for test cuts of challenging parts, project collaborations and opportunities to experience the latest manufacturing innovations. Each fully equipped Technology Center features all the infrastructure required for functionality and convenience, from overhead cranes and air compressors to heavy-duty electrical service.
With every investment in a Mazak machine tool, the company offers free hands-on training. For instance, customers can sign up for free basic and advanced classes in our MAZATROL conversational programming language for up to three years after they acquire a new machine tool. Our Technology Centers provide regular on-site schedules of these and other important training opportunities, including courses conducted in conjunction with technology partners and those focused on specific industries, such as aerospace, energy and heavy equipment. For customers who want to train large numbers of employees simultaneously or who are unable to travel to a local Technology Center for classes, Mazak also conducts specialized training sessions at customer facilities.
To maintain Mazak equipment for our customers, field service personnel based out of our Technology Centers respond directly to calls for routine or issue-specific maintenance. During field visits, our service personnel offer prompt, thorough attention to problems and questions, and can help customers plan proactive approaches to support for their specific workflows.
Also based at Technology Centers, Mazak application engineers help customers find optimal approaches to part processing. Whether a customer wants to add a new product or step up production of an existing one, our engineers offer the expertise to select the proper machine tools for the job and show how to make the best use of Mazak equipment. Additionally, these engineers can assist customers in designing optimized holistic manufacturing solutions, with secure development and complete design privacy to protect confidential and proprietary processes.
Along with other forms of application engineering assistance, Mazak Technology Centers provide a place for test cuts and runoffs of specific parts on new Mazak machine tools. This gives customers the opportunity to improve existing part operations with or without new machine technology. To experience that new technology directly, customers can visit their local Technology Center for hands-on live demonstrations of new equipment during either a scheduled public event or a one-on-one seminar. Customers also can experiment with DONE IN ONE® part processing to find out how this powerful, versatile manufacturing concept can adapt to their production needs and enhance their productivity.
Through collaborative opportunities at Mazak Technology Centers, customers connect with other OEMs who specialize in cutting tools, workholding solutions and automation technology. Our customers can rely on these expert collaborations to expand their capabilities in ways that also give primary consideration to the full functionality of their Mazak machine tools.
Most importantly, along with all these benefits, Mazak Technology Center team members listen to customer input and suggestions, channeling them directly to Mazak manufacturing for the development of new machine tools and the improvement of existing technologies. After all, the best way to find out what customers want is to listen to their feedback – and that’s a primary part of what all our Technology Centers do.
